About Me

I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science at Syracuse University's  Maxwell School and I am on the academic job market. My areas of study are populism, democratic backsliding, and comparative institutions. My dissertation examines the sequencing of events in episodes of democratic backsliding, considering the impact of both institutional threat and public opinion.

At Syracuse University, I am a member of the Political Science Graduate Student Organization, the European Politics Workshop (organized by Dr. Seth Jolly), and the SU Grad Student Research Group (organized by Dr. Jenn Jackson). 

In addition to teaching assistantships, I have taught three courses at St. John Fisher College and two courses at Syracuse University. The classes centered around European Politics and Political Identity.
